Zig Zag An explosion of vision and sound revealing Len Lye’s work in a radically modern way. Using sound and visuals from Lye’s kinetic sculptures, accompanied by a stunning music score performed by The Kurt Weill Band and a feast of visuals using the latest in digital technology from visual performer Tim Gruchy.Premiering at the Taranaki Festival of the Arts 2007 it was followed by a performance at AK09 the Auckland Arts Festival 2009. Also available on DVD.

Flare Up - A Floral Explosion

A dance musical by Shona McCullagh and the Six Volts (Plan 9 are 3 of those Volts) highly acclaimed and long remembered as a classic Kiwi night out at the theatre.

Cabaret
Plan 9 were joined by David Long and Neill Duncan as the live Kit Kat band for Colin McColl’s sell out 1998/99 production at Downstage Theatre in Wellington

The Threepenny Opera - Plan 9 plus 2 musicians provided the live music for the NZ Drama School’s end of year production. We’d also performed the show as the Six Volts in the 1989 Downstage production directed by Colin McColl
